He has completed his training at the psychiatry and clinical psychology department of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), where he received training in child psychotherapy, adult psychotherapy, and psychological testing and assessment. Raffi is a CBT therapist interested in the treatment of depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, life difficulties and relationship conflicts.

Raffi has conducted research related to different aspects of mental health with different populations, including prison inmates and substance users.
