Ms. Hamdoun has undergone a two-year clinical training program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), during which she specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, and Psychological Testing. She also received a post-graduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the United States. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Haigazian University and her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the Lebanese American University (LAU). Lama was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Beck Institute, Pennsylvania. She has received her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Children and Adolescents from Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Lama received her certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, Medical University of South Carolina, in United States.
Lama delivered parental coaching workshops and worked on developing studies related to parental bonding and its relationship with psychopathology in the Lebanese context. Lama has worked with many schools specifically emphasizing the social and emotional learning process and helped provide children with equitable, supportive, and welcoming learning environments.
Lama strongly believes in forming a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients to effectively work through their psychological difficulties. Lama cannot think of a more rewarding career, one that is designed solely to improve quality of life.
